First there are just a couple of hurdles for you to jump.

You must be over 9 years old, and be able to swim at least 50 metres.

There that was not too hard.

In our club we mainly use Kayaks, (the closed cot pit type of boat, usually with only 1 paddler in it) although nowadays we also use all types of craft, from sit on's to racing boats. You are captain of your own boat.

To get down to business, you can contact me by phone, mobile or even E-mail. If you can't contact direct please leave a message I WILL get back to you as soon as I can.

Currently we are meeting at The Herts Young Mariners Base, Windmill Lane, Cheshunt Herts. On Wednesday & Thursday evenings 7 - 9pm. April - end September yearly, & Saturday mornings year around.

As we all learn at different speeds. Our enforces is on learning at your own speed. You don't even have to attend every week.

By joining a club we have all the equipment that you will need to get yourself started. Don't just go out and buy a boat, and gear. Learn first, trying out our different types of boat.

To get started, just give me a ring 020 8803 4878, or 0785 0190537, or e-mail edcanoe@homecall.co.uk

All you need to bring on your first evening is, Shorts & Tee shirt, plimpsoles or trainers that will get wet. A full change of clothes, including a towel, just in case. Plus a session fee Adults £8, Youth £5.

For details of where we are please see How to find us.

Hope to see you on the water soon.
